Welcome

Hello, and welcome to my home @ Scimathica Tutoring!

My name is Matthew Camarata, and I am a student-focused math and science tutor serving Connecticut’s Farmington Valley and surrounding areas.

My philosophy to tutoring is to meet each student where they are and work with them to get them where they want to be. To do this, I use a variety of teaching approaches – I also learn and ask questions about each student’s background and challenges – in order to tailor and support specific student needs.

If you have any questions, always feel free to reach out and ask!

Sincerely,

Matthew Camarata

About Me

Matthew

My passion is to help students achieve their goals in math and science! I love tutoring because it allows me to help students through challenging classes and material.

This year (and last), I have been working in a public middle school as a math tutor. Prior to that, I taught high school math and science for 10 years.

Before I entered the education field, I worked as a research scientist while pursuing and completing my B.S. in Physics and Masters in Astronomy (from Boston University). During this time, I was fortunate to be a part of several research projects and conducted and authored my own first-person research.

Because I have been in the education space for over a decade, I have a wealth of experience teaching and tutoring at all skill levels. I have also taught and tutored at all grade levels, from 6th grade through college.

If have any additional questions about me, or a particular science or math classes, please contact me.

I look forward to hearing from you!
